Mesquite Countertops

Not only is Mesquite beautiful, but it is an ideal material to use in the kitchen. The chemical properties of Mesquite make it highly resistant to bacteria and its open cell fibers will not harm a knife. Mesquite countertops are also easy to care for and may be cleaned by simply washing the surface with warm soapy water.

Mesquite countertop maintenance is also easy. Just wipe down the countertop with a little mineral oil once a month or as needed. If it ever becomes scratched or stained, simply go over the area with 100 Grit sandpaper and reapply some oil. Because of Mesquite's unusual resistance to moisture, these countertops can easily be used in wet areas such as sinks.
